Mission & Description
Africa Access, based in Silver Spring, MD, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting accurate and diverse representations of Africa in children's literature. The organization works to increase the availability of quality books about Africa and supports educators and parents in selecting appropriate resources for young readers. Through advocacy and educational initiatives, Africa Access aims to enhance understanding and appreciation of African cultures among children.
